RETAINING WALLS

May be in wood or stone. I find that these are much more sympathetic materials to use in a garden than brick or blocks. I will still use them however, if the correct situation arises.

The height of bank and degree of slope required will often determine, the type and style of retaining wall used. Where possible a mixture of rock and wood creates the ideal combination for retaining ground.

>>> Tips

Remember to have drainage through your wall. A solid wall can act like a dam and then suddenly explode with the build up of water pressure.
